Get to know Lauren
Hey y’all! Thank you for visiting my site. I created this site to share my experience as an Airbnb Superhost. I love helping others and I figured this was a great way to do so. Before I get too deep into hosting and how it all began, I wanted to let you know more about me.
I’m Lauren from Hilton Head Island, SC. I now live in Maryland with my husband and my daughter. I love warm weather, being near the water, and spending time with my friends and family, whom I don’t get to see often. I love music and I LOOOVVEEE to dance. If the DJ is on one, so am I! I like traveling to new places but I don’t enjoy being in airports.
I’ve lived in a few different places but I purchased my first home in SC when I was 23. I didn’t purchase another property for 9 years. My intentions were to live in my first home for a while, rent it out and purchase another. Well life be life-ing and that didn’t go as planned. Through knowledge and maturity I learned so much about money, personal finance, and real estate. I rented my first home and purchased another property that I only lived in for a year. I renovated and rented the second property, purchased a new property with a basement so I could house hack. At first my plan was to find a good long term tenant to rent the basement. After moving in, I changed my mind. I decided to try using it as a short term rental. That was one of the best things I could have done!

My goal since being pregnant with my daughter has been to keep my expenses low while increasing my income. House hacking has played a major role. I’ve been able to save more, invest more, and do more of what I want to do. It has forced me to step out of my comfort zone and push myself to do something out of the ordinary. The outcome has been well worth any anticipated (I say this because it was all in my head, Cue Nelly’s song) discomfort. Now I’m sharing what I’ve done and how I’m doing it with as many people as possible. We don’t all have to be rich but we should all strive to be more secure in our finances. Explore the site for resources, and watch my YouTube videos for more content. Stay tuned for more.
Does this sound like something you would do to achieve your financial goals? Or am I crazy?! LOL
Take care,
Lauren.
